🍴 Ingredients (Per Packet)
- The Protein:
- 6 oz Sirloin steak (cut into 1-inch cubes) or Smoked Sausage slices
- The “Garden” Bed:
- 1 cup Baby potatoes (halved or quartered for fast cooking)
- ½ cup Fresh green beans (trimmed)
- ¼ Red onion (sliced into wedges)
- The “Melting” Puck:
- 1 tbsp Salted butter (cold)
- 1 tsp Garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp Dried rosemary or thyme
- Pinch of Red pepper flakes
👩🍳 Instructions
1. The Potato Pre-Toss
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) or your grill to medium-high.
- Toss the potatoes and steak in a bowl with 1 tbsp of olive oil, salt, and pepper. This ensures they don’t stick to the foil.
2. The Foil Architecture
- Cut four 12×12 inch squares of heavy-duty aluminum foil.
- Place the potatoes and onions in the center first (they take the longest to cook), followed by the steak and green beans.
3. The Butter “Crown”
- Place the butter, garlic, and herbs directly on top of the steak. This is the flavor engine; as it melts, it will travel down through the meat and season the potatoes.
4. The “Tent” Crimp
- Bring the long sides of the foil together and fold them down twice to create a seal, leaving about 2 inches of headspace (the “tent”). Fold the ends in tightly.
5. The High-Heat Bake
- Place packets on a baking sheet and bake for 25–30 minutes.
- The “Flip” Move: At the 20-minute mark, carefully flip the packets onto their sides. This redistributes the garlic butter and ensures the bottom vegetables get a bit of direct-heat browning.
