Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 onion, finely diced
- 1 bell pepper, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 burger buns, toasted
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and bell pepper, and sauté until softened, about 3–4 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the ground chicken and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until no longer pink.
- Stir in Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for another minute to coat the chicken evenly.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir and simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Reduce heat and add shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Stir until melted and the mixture is creamy.
- Spoon the mixture generously onto toasted burger buns and serve hot.
