Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 onion, finely diced
  • 1 bell pepper, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 burger buns, toasted

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and bell pepper, and sauté until softened, about 3–4 minutes.

  • Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  • Add the ground chicken and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until no longer pink.

  • Stir in Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for another minute to coat the chicken evenly.

  • Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir and simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.

  • Reduce heat and add shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Stir until melted and the mixture is creamy.

  • Spoon the mixture generously onto toasted burger buns and serve hot.
