This version is the most famous “Bacon Cheeseburger” variety, which tastes remarkably like a White Castle slider but in a giant, sliceable loaf.

🍴 Ingredients
- 1 can (13.8 oz) Refrigerated pizza dough
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1/2 lb Bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup Yellow onion, finely diced
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Hamburger or Steak seasoning (like McCormick Grill Mates)
- 8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 1 ½ cups Shredded Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
- Topping: 1 egg (for wash) and Everything Bagel Seasoning (optional)
👩🍳 Instructions
1. The Meaty “Garbage”
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium-high heat.
- Crucial Step: Drain the grease completely. If the mixture is greasy, your bread will split open in the oven.
- Turn the heat to low. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, steak seasoning, crumbled bacon, and the Velveeta cubes. Stir just until the Velveeta starts to melt and coat the meat. Remove from heat.
2. The Dough Foundation
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
- Unroll the pizza dough onto a piece of parchment paper. Stretch it into a rectangle (roughly 15×10 inches).
3. The Layering
- Spread the meat mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around all the edges.
- Sprinkle the shredded Cheddar over the meat.
4. The “Jelly-Roll”
- Starting from the long side, roll the dough up tightly like a cinnamon roll.
- Pinch the seams and the ends very well to “lock” the cheese inside. Place the loaf seam-side down on a baking sheet.
5. The Finish
- Brush the top with a beaten egg wash. This gives it a professional, lacquered shine. Sprinkle with Everything Bagel Seasoning or sesame seeds.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until the loaf is deep golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
The “Dipping Sauce” Sidekick: You cannot eat Garbage Bread without the sauce. Whisk together ½ cup Mayo, 2 tbsp Ketchup, 1 tsp Mustard, and a pinch of Sugar. It mimics the “Big Mac” or “Burger Sauce” flavor and cuts through the richness of the meat.
